Deception REPUTATION MANAGEMENT BY NAME RECONFIGURATION. Jean Jaurès apparently once said, “Quand les hommes ne peuvent changer les choses, ils changent les mots.” (When man can’t change things, he changes words.) By mapping old names to new ones, this piece hopes to capture the spirit of that quote as well as some of my research on shame and reputation. This image was shown as part of the Edge contribution to the Serpentine Gallery’s Map Marathon (October 2010).
